Core Values:
We value the authority of the Bible
The Bible is our sole authoritative spiritual guide. It is the only source of hope and gives direction for life change.
2 Timothy 3:16-17; James 1:22
We value cultural relevance
Throughout time, God has communicated his message through the mediums of the culture. While the message is timeless, our methods adapt to the culture of the people we reach and serve.
Luke 5:33-39; 1 Corinthians 9:19-23
We value authentic worship
We are created to worship God and it begins when we worship Him through celebration and reflection. Corporate gatherings celebrate God’s goodness and work in our lives and personal time in prayer and God’s Word demonstrate our love for God as we worship Him.
Matthew 22:37, Psalm 34:3; 122:1
We value prayer
God desires us to humbly come to Him in prayer; He hears and answers our prayers. When we pray we participate in the unseen spiritual battle which exists. Our church and our lives are battlegrounds that need to be constantly reinforced through prayer.
Matthew 7:7-11; James 5:13-18; Eph 6:10-18
We value financial integrity
Giving is one of God’s authentic measurement’s of the condition of our heart. God has entrusted us to manage the resources. He has given us and to joyfully and generously give them to support the local church and those in need.
Matthew 6:19-21; 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
We value family development
Marriage is of great importance as the basis for family life and as an example of Christ and the church. As individuals grow and families are established it is vital to guide them to develop healthy, God honoring relationships integrating Biblical truth into everyday life.
Eph 6:1-4, Deut 6:5-9
We value Biblical community
God’s design for us is to be in loving relationships with one another as interdependent, interconnected people. In settings of 4-10 people we can together become more like Christ as we practice the biblical "one another’s" so that we can impact our world for Christ.
Acts 2:46-47; Heb 10:24-25; Eph 4:16
We value gift based ministry
God has given to every believer within the local body spiritual gifts for the benefit of one another to produce spiritual healing and maturity. As people begin to serve and carefully steward their gifts and talents, ministry will develop based upon a team of people with a similar passion and complementary gifts as they respond to the leading of God’s Spirit and headship of Jesus Christ.
Romans 12:3-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-27; Ephesians 4:11-16
We value leadership development
The church is to be led by individuals gifted in leadership and by individuals who demonstrate a faithfulness to the Lord and their families, character development and financial integrity. Multiplying the ministry occurs as we continually cultivate and disciple new leaders.
2 Timothy 2:2; Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 16:1-8
We value lost people
God sending Jesus to die on the cross as payment for the sins of lost people demonstrates their incredible value to Him. We model this love for our neighbors when we are attractive lights and credible verbal witnesses of the hope and new life found in Christ.
Matthew 5:16-18; Rom 10:9-10; Matt 22:39
